Month Of Chocolate – Chocolate Hedgehog Birthday Cake

Again this is a simple cake recipe.  I say recipe but basically you are just assembling.  Put 2 shop brought swiss rolls alongside each other on your serving plate or cake board.

 

Cut a small V out of the two ends as below and place at the front to make the face.

 

Now cover with either ready made chocolate icing or make up some chocolate butter cream.

Place a malteser for the nose and 2 for eyes and then push in chocolate button spikes.

Dab a little plain butter cream for eyes

Pop on candles, light, blow them out and make a wish….

You can also use smarties for the eyes and nose.
